About the project

Verticle image

This project will replace the Minnetonka Blvd and Hwy 7 bridges over Hwy 100.

This is one of the last remaining segments to be reconstructed from the original Hwy 100. MnDOT, in cooperation with the city of St. Louis Park, provided interim capacity improvements to this segment of Hwy 100 in the mid 2000's, but left existing bridges and ramp safety issues for a future project.

MnDOT is developing a rescoped project with the city of St. Louis Park and Hennepin County that will replace two Chapter 152 bridges (Minnetonka Blvd and Hwy 7) over Hwy 100 as well as existing railroad bridges that have both horizontal and vertical restrictions.

Project benefits

  • Improve drainage, water quality, traffic flow and safety
  • Provide noise mitigation
