About the project
This project will place a new concrete surface on 17 miles of Hwy 23 from Cottonwood to Granite Falls, providing a 30-year pavement life for this section of Hwy 23. The pavement has deteriorated on this segment of the highway, reducing ride quality and the highway’s ability to support heavy loads while creating high maintenance costs. The project will help ensure that this key regional linkage has a reliable pavement surface into the future.
As an Interregional Corridor, Hwy 23 provides an essential economic and quality of life linkage for the residents and businesses of southwest Minnesota to the rest of the state and nation.
