About the plan

MnDOT District 8 proposes construction of a new interchange at the intersection of Hwy 23 and Hwy 9 in New London and the realignment of Kandiyohi CR 40. Plans call for Hwy 23 to be shifted to the southeast and reconstructed on the new alignment for a distance of approximately 1.3 miles. Kandiyohi CR 40 would be realigned from its existing connection with Hwy 23 to line up with existing Hwy 9 and the proposed new interchange.

This project is in the Environmental Assessment stage. It is included in MnDOT’s Long-Range Plan; however, funding will not be available until after 2020.
