""

About the plan

A map of Highway 14 between New Ulm and Sleepy Eye, which will have construction at the intersection of County Raod 12

MnDOT District 8 proposes to construct two interchanges along the 3.5 mile common section of Hwy 23 and Hwy 71 in Dovre Township of Kandiyohi County. The first interchange would be constructed at a relocated Kandiyohi CR 90. The second interchange would be constructed at the present junction of Hwy 23 and Kandiyohi CR 25.

An Environmental Impact Study and Record of Decision were completed in 2010.

Hwy 23 is a medium priority interregional corridor, on which travel speeds should average 55 mph for a one-hour trip. As residential and commercial areas continue to grow, travel speeds are expected to decline and congestion increase.
