About the plan

MnDOT District 8 is continuing to evaluate Hwy 23 from CR 31 near New London to the junction of the Paynesville Bypass for an environmental study. If this section of roadway were converted to four lanes, Hwy 23 would be a four-lane highway from Willmar to Paynesville. Expanding Hwy 23 to four lanes in this section will improve economic access to national and global markets for the businesses and communities in southwest Minnesota.
