About this project
This project will construct a new diamond interchange in Cannon Falls to replace a signalized intersections. The project will also construct a frontage/backage road system to maintain access to existing streets and businesses and re-route CSAH 24 to the new interchange. A second overpass will be constructed near 323rd Street in a second phase of the project. Funding of $12.86 million from the project came from the Safety and Mobility Interchange Program.
MnDOT has partnered with the FHWA, Goodhue County, Cannon Falls and area townships throughout the project development process.
Hwy 52 has been designated as a Toward Zero Deaths Corridor.
