2012 Projects

  • An interchange will be constructed at Otter Tail County Road 34 west of Perham near the new hospital. This project will be funded with a Transportation Economic Development grant, as well as with state, county, city and private funds.
  • Road damage on several segments of Hwy 10/75 in Moorhead (caused by the 2009 Red River flood protection effort) will be repaired in Phase II of a flood repair project. The project includes accessibility improvements, pedestrian/bike improvements, installation of a High Intensity Activated Crosswalk signal near Concordia College and traffic signal revisions with interconnection technology. A mill and inlay on Hwy 10 between Eighth Street and the Red River Bridge is also part of this project.
  • An access management project will be undertaken in Lake Park, with the project design based on the access management study currently under way. MnDOT is partnering with the city of Lake Park and Becker County on the study and project.

2013 Projects

  • An unbonded concrete overlay is planned for the westbound lanes from Airport Road/Wine Lake Road in Detroit Lakes to Boyer Lake.
  • A box culvert will be constructed under Hwy 10 for the Heartland Trail on the east side of Detroit Lakes.
  • An access management project in Hawley is planned for 2013. Project design will be based on a Hwy 10 and CR 31/33 Traffic Study that was completed in October 2008 in partnership with the city of Hawley.

2014 Projects

  • A bridge replacement project is planned for eastbound Hwy 10 at the Buffalo River.

2015 Projects

  • A reconstruction and frontage road project is planned from Airport Road/Wine Lake Road to Summit Avenue in Detroit Lakes. This project includes an underpass under Hwy 59 at Main Street. The project is based on a transportation study that was completed in 2011 in a partnership with the city of Detroit Lakes and Becker County.
