Hwy 25, Buffalo to Monticello

""

About the project

The projects currently programmed for this corridor address safety and mobility concerns at two intersections:

  • Congestion will be reduced at the intersection with CR 106 by extending the existing four-lane segment for one mile and installing a signal at this intersection near Monticello.
  • The Hwy 25/Hwy 55 intersection in Buffalo will be improved through a project that will restripe and widen Hwy 25 to a four-lane section north of Buffalo. The project area includes a skewed intersection with turning traffic and nearby railroad tracks. This segment already has wide shoulders and this project will further widen shoulders as necessary and restripe to create a four-lane section that improves safety and reduces congestion at this intersection.

Hwy 25 is a two-lane medium priority interregional corridor with traffic volumes in excess of 17,000 vehicles per day. Volumes are expected to rapidly increase due to development in Wright County.

Project benefits

These projects will increase safety and mobility.
