Safety Campaigns

Reducing traffic fatalities and crashes for all modes of travel is a top priority for MnDOT.

Share the Road

Share the Road Logo

Share the Road is a bicycle safety education campaign that targets bicyclists and motorists in order to eliminate fatalities and reduce injuries due to bicycle-motor vehicle crashes. The program is based on recognition that bicyclists and motorists are equally responsible for roadway user safety. Materials available for order include - brochures, pocket cards, posters, window clings, bumper stickers and videos. Visit Share the Road for more information.

Drive Your Bike

The Drive Your Bike campaign educates youth on driving and rules of the road. The message is similar to that of Share the Road and ensures brand recognition between the two campaigns. Bookmarks were created showing a school aged child riding a bicycling and obeying traffic laws. Used in combination with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Bike Safe Bike Smart video, the bookmarks are an easy way to introduce bicycle safety to children. Both the video and bookmark are available at Share the Road.
