The Board of Directors of the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA) recently issued a Corporate Business Flying Safety Award to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), Office of Aeronautics for completing 30 years, and 19,391 accident and injury free, flight hours. In addition, Aeronautics Flight Dispatcher Vivian Dellwo, was recognized for her excellence and contributions to the safe and efficient flight operations of MnDOT Aeronautics Air Transportation Section.
Raymond J Rought, Director of MnDOT Aeronautics said, “We are very happy to be recognized by the NBAA. They are a well respected national organization that consistently works for improvements in aviation to make it more efficient and safe.” Rought added, “It is always a joy when our outstanding staff is recognized for the safe flying they have always done, and also for their overall excellence. Clearly, safety is a team effort, and our Chief pilot Tim Valento, has assembled a great team of well trained aviators and aviation professionals.”
Said Tim Valento, “Safety is the top priority with our team and the rest of Aeronautics. It takes tremendous effort and focus to have been able to reach a milestone in the history of aviation in Minnesota, like this one. I am proud of all the members of the Air Transportation Section team, and equally proud of everyone in Aeronautics for their part in assuring we can fly safely in Minnesota, or wherever our flights may take us.” Valento added, “our professional flight crews and staff are dedicated to providing outstanding service to our flying customers in a consistently safe and efficient manner every day.”
