Subject: Airport Zoning to be revised (or created) for the

In order to restrict land uses, which may be hazardous to the operational safety of aircraft using the airport, and to protect the safety and property of people on the ground in the area near the airport, the _______ Airport Zoning Ordinance will be revised (or created).

Since a portion of the area to be zoned is in (County)(Township)(City), we invite you to (join with us in the creation of a Joint Airport Zoning Board) (adopt individually, a zoning ordinance for your territory that will be affected by the proposed airport zoning ordinance) in accordance with Minnesota Statutes
Section 360.063, Subdivision 3.

Enclosed is a sample form of Resolution to be passed by your Board. If the (County Board) (Town Board) (City Council) does not pass this Resolution within 60 days then the undersigned Municipality will zone the area surrounding the airport pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 360.063, Subdivision 3 (c).

A copy of our Resolution authorizing the creation of this Board is enclosed.
