First Transatlantic Hot-air balloon flight

In 1987 the first transatlantic hot-air balloon flight was accomplished by Richard Branson and Per Lindstrand. They flew 2,789.6 mi from Sugarloaf Mt., Maine, to Ireland in the hot-air balloon Virgin Atlantic Flyer on July 2-4.
